Corn Hill Navigation Case Study Challenge:

Corn Hill Navigation wanted to host an event to honor its Founder, raise dollars to fund the event and have a minimum of $10,000 net to add to the treasury.

TRO Development Director researched the existing Membership of Corn Hill Navigation, the Founder’s affiliations and supporters, and devised a plan to raise the dollars needed to support Corn Hill Navigation’s proposal.

Work Performed:

  • Establishment of a database of potential Sponsors, Donors and Supporters
  • Creation of customized Sponsorship packets, letters, and invitations
  • Management of sponsorship procurement and fulfillment
  • Management of Donor and Attendee supporters
  • Organization and management of event venue, food, entertainment, signs, gifts
  • Procurement of in-kind gifts (wine, champagne, mail service, etc)

Results:

  • Successful, crowd-pleasing event
  • Corn Hill Navigation Founder elated and proud
  • Corn Hill Navigation Treasury realized $13,500 after all expenses paid


2012 New York State Canal Conference – Oswego Case Study Challenge:

TRO tasked with raising $50,000 in Sponsorship for 2012 NYS Canal Conference in Oswego, NY.

Solution:

TRO Development Director researched the existing Membership of NYS Canal Society, previous Sponsors and new prospects in and around the Oswego area and made a Sponsorship plan to raise $50,000.

Work performed:

  • Establishment of a database of potential Sponsors, Donors and Supporters
  • Creation of customized Sponsorship packets, letters, and proposals
  • Management of Sponsorship procurement and fulfillment
  • Management of Donor and Attendee supporters

  • $53,000 in Sponsorship was raised


Estate Planning Council of Rochester Case Study Challenge:

The Estate Planning Council of Rochester wanted to increase its Membership and revenue with a New Member Campaign.

Solution:

TRO Development Director developed a plan for a Task Force to be secured from the EPC Board of Directors and Membership. The implementation of the steps outlined was discussed and accepted by EPC Board. A committee was assembled.

Work performed:

  • Establishment of procedures to maximize results for the Committee
  • Proposition of two events per year with limited disciplines, to enhance the membership
  • Creation of customized scripts, letters, and invitations
  • Selection of type of and place for event
  • Management of event attendee list
  • Management of event venue, including food
  • On-site registration

Results:

  • Successful, well-attended event
  • EPC Board of Directors pleased with number of new members and revenue
  • 19 new Members with revenue increase of $3,000
